feast(n.) 能當宗教節日，我們逢年過節常會有豐盛的宴席，因此feast也有盛宴或宴會的意思，例如：a wedding feast 婚宴，句中的feast your eyes on sth/ sb，feast做動詞，就像讓眼睛吃到美食，形容享受地看著某人或物，有『大飽眼福』、『飽覽』風景的意思。
補充：我們常說讓眼睛吃冰淇淋，來形容長相好看的人，外國人則會說eye candy(眼睛的糖果)，來形容『令人賞心悅目』的人、事、物，但要注意eye candy也有負面用法，形容雖然外表上很有吸引力，但卻沒有能力或無用處的人、物，隱晦地說別人是『花瓶』或形容媒體上吸睛的圖片『華而不實』的意思。
